...A long duration of moderate to heavy rainfall on saturated soil will increase flood potential early next week... The wet pattern continues as a strong low pressure system moves into the northern plains early next week. Beginning Sunday night, rain (with snow in the higher elevations) will overspread northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota. This slow-moving system will bring a long duration of precipitation, which may be heavy at times. By Wednesday evening, rain totals are expected to range from 1.5 to 3 inches. Full ponds and creeks, as well as saturated soil, will contribute to the potential for flooding.
