RE: Welcome back
It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of the year again. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer is ready to begin a new school year. The first day of classes will be on Wednesday, August 14th. The school day will begin at 8:00 and we will dismiss at 3:57 PM on Monday through Thursday. The school calendar can be found on the school website at www.crook1.com We are welcoming one new teacher this year as Ms. Teresa Preisner is the new music teacher.
We will be hosting Orientation for all incoming 7th graders and new stuents and their parents on the evening of Monday, August 12th. The open House will begin at 6:05 PM in the Auditorium. During this time students may pick up their schedules, become familiar with the building and their lockers. We will provide time for students and parents to meet with teachers and discuss class expectations and policies.
I would like to remind you that all school policies are outlined in the student handbook that is now posted online, at www.crook1.com under Sundance Secondary. I encourage you to go through the handbook and become familiar with the policies. Please remind your student that we are teaching responsible cell phone use. If they need to make a call or text they should do so at an appropriate time and manner; before school, at lunch and after school. If you need to get a message to your student please call the office and we will get the message to your student. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to another new school year; it’s always an exciting time and a chance for a fresh start. I challenge everyone to try and make this better than the last year. Challenge yourself to make this a positive and productive year. #itsagr8day2babulldog.
