How Sick is Too Sick?
There are three main reasons to keep a sick child at home:
If you question whether your child should stay home, please reach out to the school nurse or reference the “How Sick is Too Sick” information to the right. Please remember this information is intended for parental educational purposes only. It is not intended to take the place of your family doctor’s advice, nor is it intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent diseases. This information should not be used in place of a visit or call to your doctor, a healthcare provider, or the school nurse.
Medication Administration at School:
The medication administration authorization form must be completed fully in order for the school to administer any medication. A new form must be completed at the beginning of every school year, for each medication and each time there is a change in dosage or time of administration of medication. An adult must bring in any form of medication to the school nurse or the school office, along with the form below. All prescription medications must be in the container given to you by the pharmacist or prescriber, and non-prescription medication must be in the original container with the label intact. Please download the form to the right if you need.
